Stock Count Ranges Items to All Virtual Warehouses Even Though the Item-Loc Relationship Exists for Only One Virtual Warehouse When the Count Is Created (Doc ID 2022759.1)

Last updated on MARCH 14, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.0 to 14.0.2 [Release 14.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS), the Stock Count process is ranging items to all Virtual Warehouses (VH) even thought the Item-Loc relationship exists for only one VH when the stock count is created.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Perform a unit and dollar stock count for a physical warehouse with two virtual warehouses.
  2. Ensure in RMS that the item has an item-loc relationship and Stock On Hand (SOH) only for one of the virtual warehouses.
  3. Upload the stock count file into RMS.
  4. After the stock upload process is completed, note that the item is ranged to both the virtual warehouses. The quantity is adjusted, however, for only the existing VH relationship.
