POS Client hangs When "Cash Drawer Maintenance" Screen Displayed (Doc ID 2022858.1)

When ringing a transaction involving a large sum of cash, at the prompt to close the drawer, Point of Service (POS) displays the message to “Notify the manager” (Cash Drawer Maintenance).  The register stalls or becomes hung if the cashier does not quickly respond to the message.   After around 3-5 minutes, POS hangs and a spinning cursor is displayed.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Set the condition: The 'Cash Drawer Maintenance' alert must be triggered (for example, tendering by cash with a large sum of money).
  2. Log in to ORPOS.
  3. Create a transaction and tender with cash.
  4. Complete the transaction.  When the message, “Cash Drawer Maintenance” appears, do nothing and then standby to observe the next event. 
  5. After an elapsed time of approximately 3-5 minutes, press the Enter button.  The moment the ENTER button is pressed, POS goes into a stalled state.
