Subset Forecasting Not Working - ERROR InitParam.PopulationExtraFilter returned an empty population (Doc ID 2023877.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, Engine

When attempting to run Subset Forecasting,
the following error occurs.

02:10:39:036 ERROR   SELECT 1  FROM MDP_MATRIX M1  WHERE ,ITEMS  ITEMS.ITEM_ID=M1.ITEM_ID AND ITEMS.T_EP_EBS_DEMAND_CLASS_EP_ID = 2 and rownum < 2
02:10:39:145 ERROR   - ErrorDescription: ORA-00936: missing expression

02:10:39:255 ERROR   - ErrorNumber: 0x80040e14 - Undefined Error.
02:10:39:364 ERROR   - NativeErrorNumber: 936
02:10:39:473 ERROR   - ErrorDescription: One or more errors occurred during processing of command.
02:10:39:583 ERROR   - ErrorNumber: 0x80040e14 - Undefined Error.
02:10:39:692 ERROR   - NativeErrorNumber: 0
02:10:39:802 ERROR Caught an unknown database exception!
02:10:39:911 ERROR Caught exception in GetDBFieldValue-2
02:10:40:020 ERROR InitParam.PopulationExtraFilter returned an empty population
02:10:40:145 ERROR Engine table validation failed!!!




STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into Business Modeler.
2. Navigate to Parameters >> System Parameters >> Create a new engine profile as Subset Forecasting.
3. Set up PopulationExtraFilter to ,items where items.item_id=mdp_matrix.item_id and items.t_ep_ebs_demand_class_ep_id = 2 .
4. Log into Engine Administrator.
5. Run engine .
6. Check the engine manager log file.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot demonstrate the Subset forecasting to his customer. This is affecting the CRP.
