An Unexpected Exception Occurred while Canceling a Special Order Tendered with Credit/Debit (Doc ID 2025069.1)

In Oracle Retail Point of Service (RPOS), when attempting to refund credit amount back to original card during a special order pick up transaction , the following error occurs.


Steps to Reproduce:

A Create Special Order (SO):

1. Login to "F3 POS" > "F5 Transaction" > "F9 More" >> "F4 Orders" > "F2 New".
2. Enter Customer ID to link.
3. Press Enter to confirm the Customer address.
4. Scan few Items and select  "F6 Tender" > Click Enter to confirm the Deposit amount.
5. Complete the transaction tendering with Credit Card.

B  Cancel Special Order:

1. Go to Transaction > Order > Modify > Cancel Order .
2. Enter Order no. 04241142150003 (created above).
3. Click on Next.
4. Order is retrieved and displayed on the Cancel Order screen.
5. Select Cancel Order button.
6. Confirm Yes on the Cancel Order Confirmation screen.
7. Select Tender button on the Confirm Selection screen.
8. Select Next in the Refund Options screen (without selecting any Tender type here).

1. Create a special order with three items and tender with credit.
2. Select F5/Transaction->F9/More->F4/Special Order > F3/ Modify-> F4/ Pickup-> Enter Order number from Step 1.
3. Highlight one item-> Press F5/ Cancel.
4. Press Enter (confirm).
5. Press Enter on the location confirmation screen.
6. Select F2/Tender.
7. The Refund Options screen: Press Enter (without selecting a tender type) to put the funds back on original CC.
