Tape Drives Showing Offline and Requests are Aborting

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Tape drives showing as offline and DIVArchive requests being aborted.
This can be seen in a different ways:
- Manager queue of the Control GUI shows drives offline.
- Drives showing with a large, red 'X' over the specific drive(s) that are out of order.
- The drive(s) may display an 'Offline" status in the drives tab of the Configuration Utility.
- Internal error (code:70) and (CRC) errors may show up in the request that aborts.
Changes in the environment that could cause this issue include zoning changes on SAN switches, Library Firmware updates, changes to serial numbers or SCSI paths, and device driver updates.
