Executing The P6 EPPM "copyfiles-eppm.sh" Patch Set Script Does Not Distribute The Patch Set Files And Exits Prematurely Without Any Error Messages (Doc ID 2026575.1)

Last updated on JULY 01, 2015

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When running the copyfiles-eppm.sh script in Linux/Unix to apply a P6 EPPM patch set, the utility does not a) copy the patch set files to the respective home directories, b) backup any existing home directories and c) completes immediately with a "Press [Enter] key to exit..." prompt.

Steps To reproduce:

  1. Modify the env.properties file as outlined in the patch set README
  2. Run the copy files utility by executing:  ./copyfiles-eppm.sh
  3. Note that the utility displays a "Press [Enter] key to exit..." message directly after the "Running EPPM Upgrade Tool for the set install location" output without actually distributing the patch set files.
    • Example output:

[user@server P6EPPM-15130]$ ./copyfiles-eppm.sh
Running EPPM Upgrade Tool for the set install location $P6EPPM_Home
Press [Enter] key to exit...
