What Can Cause Error Message "Office suite is not installed" After an Upgrade Installation of the Oracle Agile e6.1.3 Java Client? (Doc ID 2026629.1)

If a user tries to checkout an Office document on a Win 7 client machine, that was upgraded to Officesuite of e6.1.3.0 after several older versions have been installed on that client machine in the past, he sees the following issue:

Error message
254 "Office suite is not installed"

is shown and the document's file is not checked out.


Upgrade to Officesuite of e6.1.3.0 after removing / uninstall of older version[s]
