On Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub (LSH) 2.2.2 version integrated with CDA Plus,
A very large (~4.5 GB) Table Instance of type "Staging without Audit" was discovered despite only containing 27K rows.
On further analysis, it has been discovered that the table is maintaining an audit of each night's 27K rows, and has been doing this since Dec 12, 2013.
The Table Instance properties show the current version installed, and show a last modification TS of June 2012 and a last installed TS of June 2013.
There's nothing in the change tracking system or the installation history corresponding with December 2013.
The Table Instance is part of our CDA implementation, which runs inside the LSH instance.
In the LSH UI, the "Browse data" function does show a multitude of data currencies, and changing to a different one does appear to change the data, so from "Browse Data", at least, it appears to function as a "Staging with Audit" table.
It would be expected that the audit information for this table should not be generated.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Create a Table Instance of type "Staging without Audit";
2. Populate the table with few records.
3. Check if the table audit information keeps growing over time.
