MSS Issues to Display Drop-down Menus for Connection Hierarchy and Equipment Inventory in Workstation with a Secondary Monitor (Doc ID 2034633.1)

Symptoms

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Users reporting problems with secondary monitor in a two-monitor workstations:

a. Connection Hierarchy and Equipment Inventory - when using the secondary monitor, some pop-up menu options are not displayed;

b. Connection Design:  in some instances windows are either cut off or display off the screen and users have to scroll to see the details (primarily DLRs/circuit design);

c. ASR -Drop downs do not expand properly on the ASR - Access Service Request window.


STEPS

Using MSS running on a 2-monitor workstation

1. Open Connection Hierarchy - right click a connection »» popup options are different in the 2 monitors - same problem in both monitors
2. Open Equipment Inventory - right click an equipment »» popup options are different in the 2 monitors - same problem in both monitors
3. Open a connection in Connection Design - CLR/DLR page »» one needs to use the horizontal scroll bar to display the MISC column - same problem in both monitors
4. Open an ASR order and click the expandable fields (>>) »» sometimes it works, other times it does not - same problem in both monitors


BUSINESS IMPACT

The application should display properly in any of the monitors.


WORKAROUND FOR ASR and Connection Design

User needs to change settings for the display: Using a display size of 1920 x 768 all ASR and Conn Design display problems are resolved.
