Email Format Error When Saving Facility Contact Information With Capital Letters in the Email Address (Doc ID 2034859.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Agile PLM for Process 6.1.1.x, Supply Chain Relationship Management:
When attempting to create a user in the facilities contact list and the user's email address contains a capital letter just before the @ character, an error is given by the PLM4P application:
Error: "The email format is not correct."

Expected Behavior:
A capital letter in an email address before the @ character should not lead to an error by the application

What is working:
When the character before the @ character is a small letter, the error message does not appear.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open in PLM4P: SCRM | Facility Profiles
2. Query for an already existing facility and go into edit mode
3. Open folder "Contacts"
4. Press the "Add New" button under the list of Facility contacts
5. Insert the appropriate information into the required fields - Fill the email address field with a valid email address but use a capitalized character as the character before the @ character.
=> Error message is given
If the capitalized character is changed to a small character the error is gone (even if other characters before the @ character are capitalized still)
