Creating Sub-partitions For Real-time Partitions In OBRM (Doc ID 2035386.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.3.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In the current archive purging requirements, the user has different retention periods for different poid_type of events.

For example:
poid_type "/event/session/telco/wimax/data" is a data usage event with 3 months retention.
poid_type "/event/billing/product/fee/cycle" is a cycle event with 12 months retention.

In the current event_t table structure, there are only real-time partitions and no delayed partitions (no loading using IREL).

In such case, is it possible to create sub-partitions within the existing real-time partitions to send/create each poid_type to separate sub-partition with in a single real-time partition?
