Symptoms
**Disclaimer:** This KM article may include the following abbreviations:
NMS - Oracle Utilities Network Management System
DNS - Domain Name System
JMService - Job Management Service
NMS - Oracle Network Management System
The customer configuration has application services run on one of the two servers, which are fronted with a floating DNS which points to the server that is currently hosting the services. Services will only run on one server. For this particular test case, simply shutdown WebLogic server 1 and started WebLogic server 2. There are currently 9500+ active events in the jobs table. There are 10+ events showing in the Work Agenda.
Found following errors in WebLogic Log:
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53770 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53783 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53785 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53789 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53793 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53808 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.53824 not found
Alarms.toolEventHandler(ERTUpdateEvent): alarm 1303.54990 not found
This shows that the Weblogic cache of events does not hold the events/jobs related to the listed alarms
A corresponding dump of JMService memory of events by the following commands shows it does hold the events in memory as expected.
Action any.JMService validate all
Finally, running this command would force a re-synchronization between the NMS services memory cache and the Weblogic cache.
Action any.publisher* ejb resync
If there were differences this should correct that.
