POSUPLD Batch Aborts With Error: "ORA-01840: Input Value Not Long Enough for Date Format" (Doc ID 2038381.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) / Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) 13.2.5, while uploading a POSU file, the POSUPLD batch aborts intermittently with the following error when processing a pack item:


Steps to Reproduce:   (Issue is intermittent and difficult to reproduce reliably)

  1. Process a large POSU file which contains pack items and in-store promotions.
  2. Note that the error message occurs.
  3. Move pack items to a separate POSU file; note that both files process successfully.
