Last updated on MARCH 17, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the Return Authorization Number for a Return To Vendor (RTV) contains multi-byte characters (say Thai), the edidlinv batch generates the EDI file in an incorrect format.  The length of THEAD in the output EDI file is less than the expected length of 631 characters.

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Create an RTV with Return Authorization Number having multi-byte characters (say Thai).
  2. Ship the RTV.
  3. Notice that invoice is generated in INVC_* tables.
  4. Run edidlinv batch and notice that the length of THEAD line in the output EDI file is less than the expected length of 631 characters.
