Records Are Truncated From POS_MODS Table When New Store Creation & Item Ranging Is Done During BATCH_ORPOS_EXTRACT.KSH and POSDNLD Post Jobs Execution (Doc ID 2040060.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 28, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If new store creation and related item ranging is happening through Retail merchandising System (RMS) front-end between MOM jar file generation and POS_MODS truncate jobs (posdwnld post) jobs, it may result into POS_MODS getting truncated with new store data even before it is downloaded to Point of Service (POS) through MOM jar files.

Steps To Recreate:

1. Run BATCH_ORPOS_EXTRACT.KSH batch which generates MOM jar files.

2. Create a new store from RMS UI.

3. Run POSDNLD post job which truncates the new store data from POS_MODS table. As this point the data is still not yet reaching POS application.

4. Because of this issue,  the dependency has to be enforced to restrict the users from using RMS UI for new store creation process between MOM job generation and POS_MODS truncate happen.
