What Is The BODYSTRUCTURE MIME Format For "Application/xxx"? (Doc ID 2040275.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We are not able to display certain types of attachments.  Our parsers are failing to detect the attachment because of this different kind of output from the mailstore.

Example:

1.  What is the meaning of the field after the "BASE64" value, just in front of the ATTACHMENT keyword?  What is the meaning or purpose of: 147326?

i.e. "BASE64" 147326 NIL ("ATTACHMENT" ("NAME" "SBS Name Development.pptx")) NIL NIL)

2. Typically after the keyword ATTACHMENT,  the next expected keyword is: FILENAME.  Why does the first, original example show only "NAME" instead of "FILENAME" like in the second example?

i.e.  ("ATTACHMENT" ("NAME" "SBS Name Development.pptx"))
    ("ATTACHMENT" ("FILENAME" "Inbox_singleQuote_messageId.eml"))
