In the Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, we find that when UPC-E barcode processing is turned on, an UPC-A item can be looked up using its UPC-E barcode in SIM PC UI item lookup. However, when using the handheld (HH) terminal UI to lookup the item using its UPC-E code, the application shows an "Invalid Item" error.
This issue occurs because Wavelink scan configuration was ignoring the UPC-E check digits during the scan. To enable UPC0E scanning using the HH, please change the Wavelink configuration as shown below.
