Discounts Defined in Named Event Nodes are Ignored if Another Discount was Defined Earlier
(Doc ID 2042257.1)
Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.2 to 5.0.3 [Release 5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC) 5.0.2, a problem exists where discounts configured in the Named Event (NEVT) Feature Node (FN) are ignored if a discount amount was previously set in a Set Discount (sdnt) node.
This problem persists even if another sdtn FN is used to reset the discount value back to 0 prior to the NEVT node.
It is expected that the value entered in the Named Event FN field should be the discount applied to the Named Event (NE).
Changes
Addition of sdtn FNs to the call flow prior to a NEVT node which utilises a discount.
