PROBLEM STATEMENT

Poor Performance Deleting Connections on Network System.
Users experiencing problems when deleting connections on the Network System.

STEPS

1. Open the affected Network System;
2. Choose a DSL on the Network List.
3. Choose one of the DSL Connections.
4. Right-Click on one connection.
5. Choose delete.

    »  MSS takes a long time ( ~2 minutes) to prepare for the deletion and then effects the operation in about 20 seconds.

BUSINESS IMPACT

This process may take more than 5 minutes and we noticed some problems on the Database performance as well.

COMMENTS

As Operation continues deleting the connections and the queries continue executing constantly, the system became too slow and then the nodes turn to warning and then affect the normal functionality of provisioning process.

We believe this is an Index problem on the tables (design_glr_assgnmt_segment).
