User is Unable to See Project Data in the Extended Schema Tables (Doc ID 2045006.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When logging into P6 projects are visible, but not when viewing the extended tables using the same users security context.  Additionally, no data is returned from the PROJECTSECURITY table for the user, even though the PUBLISH SECURITY JOB completed successfully.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. In P6, the user is able to see many projects.
  2. Using a tool such as SQLPlus or SQL Developer, connect to the P6 database as the reporting user (default pxrptuser) and run the following queries:
