RMB V18.104.22.168 Upgrade Changes All Permissions In Unix
Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2018
Applies to:Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version 22.214.171.124.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When you try to upgrade the RMB environment from v126.96.36.199 to v188.8.131.52 (including FW upgrade v184.108.40.206), the folder/file permissions are completely reset to original settings each time that InitialSetup.sh is run. Changes to setpermissions.sh have been made during the v220.127.116.11 and v.18.104.22.168 upgrades, but somehow this is also not working in v22.214.171.124 (FW v126.96.36.199).
Settings need to be kept during the upgrade process and the application shouldn't reset to the original settings.
Due to this issue, users cannot bring up the environment when you use a different UserID for hosting J2EE EAR files in Websphere and the Application runs as (cissys). You will need redo all the permissions on folders/files before bringing up the applications.
