Symptoms

Using Service Parts Planning / Plan Results
On VCP 12.2.4.1,
When planning item NEW,
with the following supersession:

Item NEW
Description NEW Test Item

Replaced Item DEF
Superseding Item REFURB
Repair-to Item REFURB
Reciprocal Unilateral
Effective Date 18-JUL-15
Disable Date
Qty -1

Replaced Item REFURB
Superseding Item NEW
Repair-to Item
Reciprocal Bilateral
Effective Date 17-JUL-15
Disable Date
Qty -1

find that the forecast for NEW on Sept 21 and Sept 28 is being fulfilled with Planned Transfers from TST:FST
instead of repairing the qty 7.3 unpegged defectives in the Returns Forecast of 01-SEP-2015.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect the plan to use the forecast defectives before planning transfers.

Customer states the issue can be reproduced at will at customer site with the following steps:

1. (R) Service Supply Chain Planner
2. Run plan with the forecasts and supersession noted
3. Observe the planned transfers of item NEW
