Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Indexing and Search Service - Version 1.0 to 1.0.5 [Release 1.0 to 1.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

/bin/issversion
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
Indexing and Search Service for Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite 1u5-24.12700(1.0.5.24.0) (built 20150317)
SunOS isshost 5.10 Generic_147441-12 i86pc i386 i86pc

When running the checkIss command, it does not detect nor complain that the GlassFish Application server is down.

Ex.

First, we stop the GlassFish server:

# ../../SUNWappserver/glassfish/bin/asadmin stop-domain
Waiting for the domain to stop ....
Command stop-domain executed successfully.

Next, we run the checkIss command:

 # ../bin/checkIss

***There is no error or complaints from the checkIss command that GlassFish is down.

We see that GlassFish is down:

# telnet 0 8080
Trying 0.0.0.0...
telnet: connect to address 0.0.0.0: Connection refused

Changes

Upgraded ISS to version 1u5 patch 24.  This used to work on 1u5 patch 22 or lower.
