Using the parallelbootstrap command causes indexing service to hang.
After several hours of running the "parallelbootstrap" command bootstrapping many thousands of accounts, it appears to have stopped making any progress. From the iss-indexsvc.log file, it was confirmed that the bootstrap and the autosync processes were no longer doing anything.
Further inspection of the IndexSvc process using jstack revealed two threads trying to connect to the Messaging Server IMAP process.
All the evidence indicates that both these threads were running like this for many hours. This prevented any useful work by either bootstrap or autosync.
