In Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS), when attempting to assign a Serial Number to a non-serialized item, an 'Unexpected Exception Occurred' message appears to the user and the following error is seen in the orpos.log:
Steps to Reproduce:
- Add item (4321) to the Sell Item screen.
- Item is added to the transaction. Click on Item >> Serial Number button.
- Serialized Item screen displays. Enter any value in the Response Region. Press Next button.
An unexpected exception occurred. Please contact your system administrator. Press Enter to return to the previous screen.
