Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Project IDs are duplicated when being changed by two or more users.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Duplicate Project IDs should never be created.

This issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. Two different users add a project in P6 (location and initial name of project ID does not matter).
  2. Both users update the Project ID field to set it to an equal value, then press Enter, but do not commit or refresh the changes.
  3. Both users select File > Commit from the menu, then File > Refresh.
  4. Note the duplicate project ID's that get created.
