Goal

The goal of this document is to provide low level steps to remove WebLogic Application Server cache for a managed server after deployment of an updated version to any of the P6 EPPM Web Based applications.

When a web based application is deployed into WebLogic, all the related files for the application are stored in specific directory structures under the managed server it is deployed to; This is treated as cache.  Generally, cache should be generated with updated deployment versions, but there can be occurrences when older objects persist in cache that will be in conflict with new code objects.  As such, this is where the need to remove cache arises.

This document applies to all EPPM components including P6 Web, Progress Reporter, Team Member, P6 API, Web Services, P6 Cloud Connect and Compression server.
