After a Rate Lookup has been configured within InterestRateCalculation business rule, following error is seen when trying to process an activity on the application:

 Syntax error parsing the query [SELECT rateDcl.dateCriteria, rateDcl.rate FROM RateDcl rateDcl, RateGroupDcl rateGroupDcl WHERE rateDcl.rateGroupGuid = rateGroupDcl.rateGroupGuid AND rateGroupDcl.rateDescription = :rateDescription AND rateDcl.integerCriteria = 0 AND rateGroupDcl.effectiveDate = ( SELECT MAX( subRateGroupDcl.effectiveDate ) FROM RateGroupDcl subRateGroupDcl WHERE subRateGroupDcl.rateDescription = rateGroupDcl.rateDescription AND subRateGroupDcl.effectiveDate <= :effectiveDate ) AND ( rateDcl.dateCriteria >= :startDate AND rateDcl.dateCriteria < :endDate OR rateDcl.dateCriteria = ( SELECT MAX( subRateDcl.dateCriteria ) FROM RateDcl subRateDcl WHERE subRateDcl.rateDescription = rateGroupDcl.rateDescription AND subRateDcl.dateCriteria < :startDate AND subRateDcl.integerCriteria = 0 ) ) AND ( ( rateDcl. IN (:1,:2) ) OR ( rateDcl. IS NULL ) ) ORDER BY rateDcl.dateCriteria DESC , rateDcl.], line 1, column 960: unexpected token [(].

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Use the attached InterestRateCalculation business rule.
2. Use the attached SQL to insert rows in the AsRate, AsRateGroup tables.
3. Process the activity and confirm error message returns
