In a VCP 12.2.4.1 Instance


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
--------------

When running an Enforce Capacity Constrained Plan (without detailed scheduling), it's taking a long time calculating exceptions.
The different phases of plan:
Memory Based Snapshot 64 bit Linux - Average time taken= 2 hours
Memory Based Planner 64-bit Linux- Average time taken= 6 hours 20 minutes.

Sub-phases of Memory Based Planner 64-bit Linux:
Optimization Phase(Linear-programming based. Selects alternate sources, processes bills of material and routings, substitute items and components, and alternate resources)= 2 hours 40 minutes average
Exception Phase= 3 hours 15 minutes average

 

 


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Advanced Supply Chain Planner > Collections > Oracle Systems > Standard Collections

2. Verify the run times.
