POS Allows User to Add Serialized Item Without Prompting for Serial Number When ItemNotFound Is Used (Doc ID 2060648.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS), a serialized item is added to the return flow without promoting for serial number if the item is not found in the store database.


Steps to Reproduce:


Prerequisites:

  1. Set the following to TRUE in pos client's application.properties file: IMEIEnabled=true
  2. POS must be connected with SIM.


Return (With Oracle Format Receipt):

  1. Click on Return button.
  2. Enter a transaction number where transaction number does not exist in DB, but its format matches the Oracle Receipt number.
  3. POS displays Trans. Not Found screen. Press No button.
  4. POS displays Return Enter Item screen. Enter an Item Number which does not exist in the database.
  5. POS displays Item Not Found screen. Press Enter button.
  6. Now enter a Serialized Item which does exist in SIM.
  7. POS adds this item with incorrect serial number (last entered incorrect number).


Return (Without Receipt):

  1. Click on Return button.
  2. Click on No Receipt button.
  3. Enter an Item Number which does not exist in the database.
  4. POS displays Item Not Found screen. Press Enter button.
  5. Now enter a Serialized Item which does exist in SIM.
  6. POS adds this item with incorrect serial number (last entered incorrect number).
