Last updated on MARCH 17, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management - Version 7.2.5.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On UIM 7.2.5.3.0 version, Characteristics

The DependentDropDown is not getting reset to the default value specified in the characteristic.properties file, once after the value got selected to null.
For Eg:
Lets consider 3 dependent Characters in a Address Specification ,
Ch1 , Ch2 and Ch3 which in turn represents each Entity.

Where
Ch1 (Parent)-> Ch2 (Parent)-> Ch3

We have entities like
AA (AdminArea) -> SD (Subdivision) -> TF (Thoroughfare)
And
AA1(AdminArea)
Now in characteristic.properties file, Enable the default value to true and specify Default values for Ch1 as “AA” and Ch2 as “SD”.

Now, Come to UIM UI screen and try to create the new entity with Address specification, the default values populates for Ch1 as “AA” and Ch2 as “SD” as configured.,
But once you go back and reset for Ch1 as “AA1”
And then reselect for Ch1 as “AA” this will not set Ch2 to “SD”.
