Wrong Fields Displayed in Segments at Policy and/or GroupCustomer Plan Level When in Production Mode (Doc ID 2062704.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 05, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When the application is in Production mode,

The Policy Screen information loaded by the Segments on the policy is incorrect.
It displays the PlanSegmentDefinition fields instead of the Policy Segment fields present in the XMLSource.

At the PlanSegment level, the screen is empty even though it is configured at the PlanSegmentDefinition.

Both of these behaviors are only happening when the application is in production mode.

Steps to Reproduce:

Issue #1: PlanSegmentDefinition fields at the policy Segment level:

  1. Restart the application and log in
  2. Got to Account --> Search
  3. Select an Account
  4. Go to "Plans" menu item on the left
  5. Go to "Plan Products" in the plan
  6. View all products in the Plan Products: Notice that the correct fields are shown at this point.
  7. Then search and select an available policy
  8. Go to products and click on Segments (products). Notice that the fields from PlanSegmentDefinition display rather than the code from XMLSource in Segments.

Restart Application after backup is done and after reproducing issue #1.

Issue #2: Seeing blank screen at the PlanSegmentDefinition level:

  1. Got to Policy --> Search
  2. Select an available policy
  3. Go to "Products" menu item on the left in the Policy
  4. View all products in the Policy and notice that these are the correct screens that show up (i.e.: the ones configured in the XMLSource)
  5. Account --> Search
  6. Select and Account
  7. Go to "Plans" menu item on the left
  8. Go to "Plan Products" in the plan
  9. View all products in the Plan Products - Notice that there are no fields shown at this level.

Business Impact
Due to this issue, users cannot display the correct Segment fields in Production mode.
