The Oracle Utilities Global Business Unit is pleased to announce the general availability of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing Version 2.5.0.1. It is ready for customers and partners to download and install via My Oracle Support and from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing V2.5.0.1 is primarily based on the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing V2.4.0.3 business functionality. Key features in this release include:

Notification Preferences Management: Enabling utilities to allow their customers to choose how they wish to receive communications from multiple channels via new customer communication preferences portal zones in Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing.
Customer Program Management Enhancements: Enhanced market segmentation capabilities and support for third party program management interaction.
Integration with Oracle Utilities Service Order Management: Theindustry’s first of its kind service order orchestration solution designed to help utilities with smart devices improve operational efficiency, accelerate issue resolution, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
DataConnect for Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing: Allowing utilities to drive transformation by easily extracting customer account and billing related data to be used by other utility applications and third party vendors.

Any customer working on an implementation of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing, note that Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing Version 2.5.0.1 was released October 2^nd 2015.

As per the Lifetime Support Policy , hotfixes will not be issued on CC&B 2.5.0.0 after January 2, 2016.

All Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing Version 2.5.0.0 implementations should immediately uptake 2.5.0.1 if they have not done so already.

The support policy will be strictly enforced for this service pack in particular and exceptions will need approval from Oracle, therefore it is in the implementation team's interest to move to 2.5.0.1 as soon as possible.
