Error: rehostuser : General Error: Read Failed With ASock Error: Connection Reset By Peer (131)

Symptoms
Rehostuser logs error about an LDAP connection which was ultimately successfully reconnected.
The following errors are seen in the default log when rehostuser is run:
[18/Aug/2015:15:44:01 +0000] hostname rehostuser[24468]: General Error: (id 50x10026ef40) read failed with ASock error: Connection reset by peer (131)
[18/Aug/2015:15:44:01 +0000] hostname rehostuser[24468]: General Error: (id 60x100262350) read failed with ASock error: Connection reset by peer (131)
The "peer" in this case is LDAP. The *only* place in our code where the string "read failed with ASock error" appears is in the lpool code, which manages the LDAP pool.
