OPSM/Pedigree Serial Generation Webservice Timeout: SerialGenRequestServiceAMService Java.sql.SQLException (Doc ID 2066889.1)

Symptoms

Performance issue on Pedigree (OPSM) version 1.2.0.0.0.

Receive an exception "java.sql.SQLException" in OPSM SerialGenRequestServiceAMService.

The Serial Generation web service is timing out when querying 20,000 (20K) serial numbers.

The java.sql.SQLException error returns after 50 minutes query run time using sequential serial number generation.

Setup: System Parameters
OPSM System Parameters are as follows:
* Owning Source System - EBIZ_01
* Source System Precedence - Owning Source System
* Serial Type Default - SGTIN-98
* Use Serial Ranges Default - Unchecked
* Allow Lot Creation - Checked
* Serial Commit Size - 100

Steps
1. Run the Serial Generation web service.
2. Service times out when query 20k serial numbers.
