Reconcile Poor Performance Editing Equipment Node Address (Doc ID 2070050.1)

Symptoms

The application hangs after updating an Equipment Specification's physical port Node Address information and selecting yes to reconcile the affected equipment.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced for a specific Equipment Specifications using the following steps:

1. Application Setup

2. Inventory Management Setup

3. Equipment Specifications

4. Search for the specific Equipment Specification

5. Open the active Issue Number

6. Click the Port Addresses tab

7. Modify the Node Address for Line 1 and 2 (example below)

    FROM:

    Line Node Address
    ------------------------
    1 GE 0/0
    2 GE 0/1

    TO:

    Line Node Address
    ------------------------
    1 FE 0/0
    2 FE 0/1

8. Click OK

9. Select Yes to the "this will affect [NUMBER] pieces of equipment" message and the application hangs


BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, the Equipment Spec change cannot be implemented.
