MSCFDDSR ASCP Sourcing Rule Form Errors While Creating New Rules With Name Greater Than > 30 Characters ORA-00904 FRM-40735 (Doc ID 2070769.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.2 version, User Interface in Test:

Users are in the ASCP Sourcing Rule form MSCFDDSR.fmb 120.26 - They state they input 31 characters for the sourcing rule name and enter the rest of the required data and save. However it errors with the following:

ORA-00904: "RECEIPT_ORGANIZATIONS_ID" invalid identifier with Details:
FRM-40735: PRE-INSERT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502

If the sourcing rule name length is 30 or less the form does not error when saving. Support duplicated in internal 12.2.4.1 instance. The trace file shows error with the following sql:

SELECT sr_receipt_id, receipt_organization_id, effective_date, disable_date
FROM msc_sr_receipt_org
WHERE sourcing_rule_id = :1
ORDER BY receipt_organization_id, effective_date;

Support ran the following script internally on 12.2.4.1 instance:

SELECT sr_receipt_id, receipt_organization_id, effective_date, disable_date
FROM msc_sr_receipt_org
order by sr_receipt_id;

But it errors:
ORA-00904: "RECEIPT_ORGANIZATION_ID": invalid identifier
00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"
*Cause:
*Action:
Error at Line: 3 Column: 22

There is no column RECEIPT_ORGANIZATION_ID in the above table. This is the same issue as bug 14235459 - but they didn't know how to reproduce and problem went away and was not pursued. Support and customer can duplicate this at will

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Advanced Supply Chain Planner / Sourcing / Sourcing Rules
2. Enter sourcing rule name greater than 30 characters and other required data and save
3. Form errors as noted
4. If the sourcing rule name is 30 characters or less the form does not error when saving
