Rehostuser Seeing Error "channel 0: Bad Ext Data" While Restoring

Information in this document applies to any platform.
On few of the occasions noticing that the rehostuser process is hung or stuck, and seeing in the rehostuser output this error message:
rehostuser error : 12345 /part07/user/b1965/INBOX/123455 restoring...channel 0: bad ext data
The rehostuser process needs to be manually killed in order to clear it.
