P6 Services Jobs Fail with Error 'OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space' (Doc ID 2075892.1)

Issue 1

When attempting to publish projects, Px Services jobs fail with the following error in the Publish Project Log:

Run on <date>

Java heap space

Also, when running the following query as privuser:

The following error is displayed in the last_error_descr column for the failed job(s):

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In P6 EPPM Web Access, right-click any project, and select Publish.
2. View the services log and observe the first error.
3. Run the above-mentioned query against the JOBSVC table.
4. Observe the second error.

Issue 2

Attempting to copy a project in P6 Professional fails with The job request you submitted did not complete successfully, and the P6WebAccess.html Log contains the following error:
