Store Expire Rules Not Working and No Indication Logged as to Why
(Doc ID 2076456.1)
Last updated on MARCH 17, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
In some situations, store expiration rules may not seem to be doing anything and no errors or other indications may be logged to guide us.
For example, the following expiration rules are set (among others, omitted for clarity):
In this example, there was a misunderstanding about the store.cleanupage option, so messagedays values from the above rules were removed.
The resulting rules don't seem to do anything. (Without additional criteria, folderpattern alone probably won't do anything).
This should have been tested with imexpire -n -d -v 3, but it also would be convenient if there were a warning when a rule is bogus or results in no action.
