Information in this document applies to any platform.
When AutoVue loads a 3D model, the current display state of the model tree is captured in a structure, the ViewState, which stores all view attributes assigned to each node in the tree. These may include:
- Visibility (parts, bodies, subassemblies and PMI annotations)
- Rendering mode (e.g. wireframe, hidden-line, shaded, etc.)
- Rotation and camera position
- Any displacement transformation applied to a model component
- Sectioning state as well as their parameters
View states created with previous versions of AutoVue are ignored in 21.0.0. Consequently, pre-21.0.0 markup files shows in AutoVue 21.0.0 as if there are no user-defined view states. In other words, the default state is always active.
For instance, let’s assume a markup is saved in 20.2.3 with the assembly exploded and all the PMI turned off. When this markup is open in 21.0.0, the visibility and transformation states will not be applied. Then, the model will show un-exploded and the PMI will be turned back on.
