Markup Compatibility: View States Created in Markups Prior to AutoVue 21.0.0 (Doc ID 2076705.1)

Last updated on JULY 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle AutoVue Electro-Mechanical Professional - Version 21.0.0 and later
Oracle AutoVue 3D Professional Advanced - Version 21.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When AutoVue loads a 3D model, the current display state of the model tree is captured in a structure, the ViewState, which stores all view attributes assigned to each node in the tree. These may include:

View states created with previous versions of AutoVue are ignored in 21.0.0. Consequently, pre-21.0.0 markup files shows in AutoVue 21.0.0 as if there are no user-defined view states. In other words, the default state is always active.

For instance, let’s assume a markup is saved in 20.2.3 with the assembly exploded and all the PMI turned off. When this markup is open in 21.0.0, the visibility and transformation states will not be applied. Then, the model will show un-exploded and the PMI will be turned back on.

A warning message for incompatible states will be logged in the AutoVue logs.
