Goal

Qn1:UIM 7.2.4

You are facing error while assigning the entities to a SCV using RI methods.

Error :

'Unable to assign the preconfigured Physical Device: 450002 -****'

The only difference these entities are having from others is that these entities are having some PRE confugured custom involvements associated with them.

means that Logical Device(LD  Entity Id- 5001) has preconfiguration with other Physical Device(PD - Entity Id 450002 ).

You are trying to add the Logical Device(LD  Entity Id- 5001) to Service -> Service Configuration Version -> Configuration Item.

and you re receiving the error above.

Qn2:Customer has this hierarchy,
LD-PD(child)-----LD1-PD1(parent1)-----LD2-PD2(parent2)----lD3-PD3(parent3)

And using PreConfigured Involvement to involve LD and PD.

But they do not have PD Config Item in their SCV just wanted to assign LD to Service Configuration Item.
