Oracle Utilities Network Management System - Version 1.7.10.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A model has a three-phase nominally-open elbow switch that connects two single-phase conductor segments.

Conductor A is phase A.

The elbow is 3-phase.

Conductor B is phase B.

When the elbow is closed, energization does not get carried across the elbow.

If both sides are energized, one would expect that closing the switch would result in a "You are about to create a loop" warning, however, nothing happens.
