MEDDRA Event coding difference and green check box is still present (Doc ID 2081706.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety Japan - Version 6.0.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The event code in Argus J and Argus E shows different values.
Event LLT Code becomes different between English and Japanese when Encoded.

Example:

When a particular event term is entered on Japanese screen and coded by MeddraJ
is then encoded on the English screen by Meddra, observe that the LLT code is then set to a different code.

The coded values should be:

J-PT:Japanese <Cerebral artery embolism> (10008088)
E-PT:Cerebral artery embolism (10008088)
J-LLT:Japanese <Cerebral embolism> (10008108)
E-LLT:Cerebral embolism (10008108)

but in this case it ends up being coded this way:

E-PT:Cerebral artery embolism (10008088)
J-PT:Japanese <Cerebral artery embolism> (10008088)
E-LLT:Cerebral artery embolism (10008088) <---LLT Code is different
J-LLT:Japanese <Cerebral embolism> (10008108) <---LLT Code is different
