HTSUPLD.PC Batch Takes a Long Time to Process HTS Updates (Doc ID 2082757.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS), while executing the HTSUPLD batch for importing Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) data, processing only four HTS codes requires over an hour.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Execute HTSUPLD after ensuring there is large amount of data in the following tables: CURRENCIES, CURRENCY_RATES, ELC_COMP, CVB_HEAD,CVB_DETAIL, and HTS_* tables
  2. Note the poor performance.
