SATOTAL Screen Throws Error While Editing the Total: 'The function for total did not compile correctly' (Doc ID 2083398.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA), the SATOTAL screen is throwing the following error while editing the total:



Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a total by selecting 'No' on 'Does this total correspond to a value from POS?' and selecting 'Yes' on 'Should a system value be calculated for this total?'.
  2. Continue creating total definition and click on Finish.
  3. Now edit the same total and select Yes on 'Does this total correspond to a value from POS?' and 'No' on 'Should a system value be calculated for this total?'.
  4. Click on Finish.
  5. Again edit the total and select 'No' on 'Does this total correspond to a value from POS?' and select 'Yes' on 'Should a system value be calculated for this total?'.
  6. In the 'Parameters' screen reverse the order of the parameters.
  7. Click on Finish. Notice the error - 'The function for total did not compile correctly, please review the total definition'.
