Symptoms

File upload not working through Java Client after enabling SSL. See below error in the java console log:

Error

<Warning> <Security> <BEA-090504> <Certificate chain received from {hostname.domain_com} - xx.x.xxx.xx failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained *.{domain_name} but check expected {hostname.domain_name}>
network: Connecting socket://{hostname.domain_name}:port with proxy=DIRECT

What is Working

Can upload file from Web Client

Fact

Wild card SSL certificate is installed for the File Manager

 

Steps

  1. Log into Java Client
  2. Open any object, and go to Attachments tab, and add file
  3. File Uploader window pops up
  4. Browse for Files, select a file, and Upload
  5. The indicator will not change from 0%

 Enabled SSL
