Return Request Cannot be Saved to Pending Status When the Return Quantity Is 0 (Doc ID 2084261.1)

Symptoms

In the Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, we find that Return to Warehouse (RTW) creation for a large number of items requires too much user intervention to be usable.

A common feature for retailers is the return of an entire season of items (1500+ items) back to the warehouse.  Without a default Reason Code, this requires the end user to select a Reason Code for each item entered. This is also true for the Scan-Scan functionality on the Handheld (HH).

Alternately, a large Mass Return Transfer (MRT) can be created in Retail Merchandising System (RMS) from a store to a warehouse, which then flows to SIM as a Return Request.  Using a HH, this return request cannot be accessed, unless the request is put in "Pending" status by accessing it using the PC interface. Once the return request is opened using PC interface, the Return functionality will not let the request be saved unless the user is forced to select a reason for each of the items included in the Return Request.


Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a RTW with over 1500 items
  2. Note that for each item the reason code must be selected separately.
