In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) 13.1.7, we find that the Order Auto Close (ORDAUTCL) batch process is closing purchase orders (POs) after an Advanced Shipment Notice (ASNIn) message is integrated.

After consuming the ASNIn message, ORDAUTCL is closing the PO considering it was partially received. The PO falls into category 2 of main cursor.  The PO status is changed to 'C'losed and the shipment status_code is changed to 'C'ancel by function cancel_order and update_shipments inside Pro*C logic.  The quantity ordered is not changed to qty cancelled from ORDLOC table.  Only the PO and shipment status are changed.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a PO.
  2. Send an ASNIn message for the PO created in step 1. The quantity expected should be the same as quantity ordered.
  3. Run process ORDAUTCL, making sure the PO will be selected by category 2 of main cursor.

The POs are being cancelled incorrectly.  The suppliers are not attending to the purchase orders, which is making several items go out of stock.
