Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Q1: We are trying to install ASAP 7.2 in an active passive mode. For this complete setup, there are 2 physical IPs , (say PIP1 , PIP2), 1 virtual IP for them (say VIP1) .

Please help us understand, for making ASAP in active passive mode, how we should perform the installation. (on SAN storage , not NFS)
For example installing Oracle client , WebLogic and ASAP on which machines. Also, do we need to make installations to both the PIPs or only 1 VIP. Please elaborate a  little on this part, as we are not finding this information in the Installation Guide.

Q2: We are going to install ASAP Version 7.2.0.4.1 <Patch.20187229>. We have already installed WebLogic 10.3.6.

ASAP installation guide says a patch over WebLogic to be applied(Patch 13529623). We need confirmation as we have already installed  WebLogic 10.3.6, do we need this patch to be applied? As we understand from patch notes, it is for 10.3.5 or below versions.
